The goals of this Competition are to:
1. Recognize and nurture up-and-coming talented writers and inspire them to speak to the human condition in their writing.
2. Support our therapeutic, educational outreach and research programs through your tax deductible submission fee.
College students and others with some writing experience through writing courses or some beginning level professional experience are encouraged to apply. You may submit a script that you have written as part of a classroom assignment if it meets the criteria of a humanistic, inspirational script that focuses on the human condition (comedy or drama).
We are not focusing on experienced television writers. You will not be competing with seasoned writers, nor writers who have been staffed on any series. However, please know that this is a highly competitive process, so please submit a thoughtfully prepared and professionally formatted script.
Please visit the Submission Information page to learn more about the process, the participating Supporters (the winning "prizes") and how to apply.
Please visit the 2009/2010 Rx Laughter Primetime Television Writing Competition page for an overview of past Winners, Supporters and Volunteers.
Thank you for listening.
