"Laughter certainly aids in healing. I saw it daily at work. A spirit of happiness, even in facing the worst of fears, brought a sense of hopefulness to the patient. The hardest thing to overcome is your fear in facing cancer. Many cannot do this, but those who can teach others to live with courage and joy are an inspiration. I cannot tell you the impact these patients had in my life while working with them. It allowed me to help my family when my mother, father and brother all were diagnosed with cancer within a 9 month period." (Linda, retired oncology physician's assistant, 3/27/12)
